My name is Edmond Eddings, I am currently a category manager working for the New York Power Authority specializing in Construction & Outage.

I grew up in Houston, TX with my parents. From a young age, I was fascinated by science and technology, primarily marine biology. I attended Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas, where I excelled in English, science, and basketball.

After high school, I attended the Texas Tech University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics. During my college years, I was actively involved in sports, walking on to the Texas Tech basketball program for 2 seasons and joined a service fraternity to help in the surrounding community.

My career began at a small shipping company where I worked as a junior buyer. Over the years, I advanced to senior buyer and loading manager, leading several overnight ship loading and crew management projects. Currently, I am a category manager at NYPA, where I specialize in construction, licensing, and emergency outage solutions.

I believe in continuous learning, innovation, and perseverance. My goal is to contribute as much knowledge as I can to my current role by developing processes that make a difference in NYPA’s day-to-day operations. In the future, I aim to advance in NYPA and seek a master’s degree.
